Steve Purdy - South East Regional President of PDA

 

Steve Purdy has been elected as the first South East Regional President of the Painting and Decorating Association. (Congratulations Steve)

 

Since the amalgamation of the British Decorators Association and the Painting and Decoration Federation, there has not been a South East Regional President.

 

The region is the second largest region within the PDA and Steve is heading up the relaunch and is looking for support from all its members to assist in his endeavours to make it go from strength to strength.

 

To this avail David Higgins (Business Development Director) has taken up the post of Treasurer.

TCL Emply New Apprentice

Topcoat have recently employed Michael Leech as an apprentice painter.

He will be primarily working on contracts for Gateway Housing Association.

Major works section to complete kitchen & bathroom upgrades to Gateway sheltered accommodation, one year ahead of schedule. Paulo Eleftheriou Contract Manager said "its been very hard work but satisfying that we can demonstrate our ability to complete contracts early and well within budget." Steve Purdy Director "The residents have been marvellous during the disruption and we plan to hold a party to celebrate completion of the works".

 

New addition to the team

 

David Higgins : Business Development Director

 

David has joined us as Business Development Director he has 44 Years experience in the industry, 30 years at senior management level.

In his previous employment he was a Director responsible for all aspects of a £12m turnover company, with in excess of 140 staff under his jurisdiction.

David brings to the company a vast experience in all fields within the industry including Heritage work, High security Government premises, Museums, High profile residences, Retirement Care homes, Healthcare premises, Specialist finishes, Social housing, Industrial high protective coatings, etc. He has joined us to assist in our continuing business growth by expanding our client base further to include the specialist fields he has been involved with in the past.

He was also responsible in assisting his previous company in gaining The Royal Warrant, (of which he was the Warrant holder.)

He was Regional President of The Painting and Decorating Association for the Southeast Region in 1999.

President of The London Association of Master Decorators in 2002.

National President of the Painting and Decorating Association in 2008.
